ABOUT US

The Amateur Bowling Circuit was set up to give league bowlers and casual tournament players a chance to compete for big money. We want to give anyone a chance to win, rather than the same old faces dominating the field. That's why we have strict eligibility criteria to prevent any pros, national team players, or EBT winners from participating. Our tournaments are set up in a way to give anyone a chance to win as you will qualify for the finals in your own division. Essentially, everyone who plays an ABC tournament has a 1 in 5 chance of cashing.

The ABC aims to revive amateur bowling in Europe and create a thriving amateur bowling scene. Not only do you have the chance to compete for big money prizes, the tour also gives bowlers the space to develop as a bowler. It can be extremely demoralising going up against the best players in the world. While bowling against the best is necessary, there still needs to be a space where bowlers can compete with those on their level. This is the gap that the tour is now filling.

If you like the sound of all of this, then you can get involved by entering our next tournament. A list of our upcoming tournaments can be found here. We can't wait to see you on the lanes.

Answers to some of your most commonly asked questions.

How do your tournaments work?

What is the eligibility criteria?

When is your next tournament?

Our tournaments consist of qualifying squads that take place on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Bowlers play 6 games and can have unlimited re-entries. Bowlers are divided into 4 divisions: Seniors, 175 avg & under, 176-199, & 200+.

A minimum of 1 in 5 players in each division are guaranteed to make the finals and cash. Finals are held on Sunday afternoon and we have several final rounds until we have a winner.

In order to play any event, bowlers must meet all of the following criteria.

  1. Have not represented or been selected to any national team at junior, adult or senior level since 2018. (This includes bowlers who were selected but have not played for the team.)

  2. Have never won a European Bowling Tour event.

  3. Have not been a PBA member since 2024.

  4. Have never won a PBA national title, PWBA title, PBA 50/60 title, or PBA regional title.

We have an entire schedule for 2026 that will be announced in due course. We have more events announced for 2025 and you can find all the details including how to enter here
